It is time that we start to level the playing field in this State and in our country for minorities in all areas such as education opportunities, fairness in banking and housing, fair and equitable credit scoring, recognition of the economic contributions made to the state and the massive generational wealth minorities have created for the majority stakeholders in this state. Recognition and intentional actions toward correction is the beginning of repair, justice, and unity. I do believe that descendants of the black people who were enslaved in America deserve reparations.
