Our seniors are such an important part of our community. Protecting them in every possible way is important. Everyone should have the chance to retire with the dignity and support they need. I will be a vote to secure original Medicare and expand Medicare to include home health care so if seniors want to, they can stay in the home they love with the assistance of well-trained home healthcare providers. There is a need in this district to build more affordable housing for low-income seniors and I support that. I will be a vote to protect Social Security and fight to expand those benefits. And I will vote to lower prescription drug costs by allowing Medicare and Medicaid to negotiate lower prices on behalf of our seniors.
